About Penang

Penang is today best known for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of George Town. This beautiful colonial town has barely changed over the years and is filled with interesting churches, galleries and museums. There are also some fantastic restaurants in town, showcasing the many cuisines from the Island’s multi-cultural past - Malaysian, Indian and Chinese. Penang is a jumping off point to the smaller island of Pangkor, which has some gorgeous beaches and world class hotels, but it is not short of a few beautiful beaches of its own.
