About Umbria

Umbria is Italy’s only landlocked region and is known as ‘the green heart of Italy’. The landscapes here are perhaps even more beautiful than in Tuscany and it is considerably less popular with tourists, making the region a real hidden gem. The landscape is bursting with castles, Medieval villages, monasteries and hilltop towns - we particularly recommend visiting the towns of Assisi, Spello, Gubbio, Citerna and Todi. The Umbria Jazz Festival is one of the most important jazz events and has been held annually since 1973. Like Tuscany, Umbria is fantastic for villa holidays, and we would be delighted to help plan your holiday to this gorgeous region.
